-Wtool option

Description

The -W command-line option passes option directly to the specified tool. Supported tools are

• -Wa — pass option to assembler
• -Wc — pass option to compiler
• -Wl — pass option to linker

Example

The following example passes the (compiler specific) -version option to the compiler

cc … -Wc-version
